Paola Tristan Arruda

Paola Tristan Arruda is an Emmy-award winning tri-lingual journalist, speaking Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She joins WESH from WGAL-TV, a Hearst sister station, that covered Lancaster/Harrisburg/York in Pennsylvania. She was the morning traffic anchor as well as a news reporter. While there, she covered the Reading chocolate factory explosion, THON- a 24-hour fundraising event that helps kids with cancer, and the 2023 Super Bowl. Paola also created a partnership with a radio station to do traffic hits in Spanish.

Before that, Paola worked at WCSC Live 5 News in Charleston, South Carolina. During her time as a general assignment reporter, she covered all types of news including the 2020 South Carolina primary and the Democratic Presidential Debate. She also experienced three hurricane seasons, reporting on all of them.

In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies and eating great food. She also loves traveling and is excited to try all the theme parks here in Orlando.
