Megan Mellado

Award Winning Journalist, Megan Mellado, joined the WESH 2 News team as the Osceola County Bureau Reporter in February 2020. She grew up in Central Florida and is no stranger to the WESH 2 newsroom.

While in college at the University of Florida, she interned at WESH 2 News. After graduating with a degree in Telecommunication, News, she began working at the station as an Associate Producer.

From there, Megan went on to work as a reporter for the NBC and CBS affiliated news stations in Panama City Beach. There, she covered a variety of investigative stories and feature pieces. She also covered category-five storm, Hurricane Michael, reporting from the Apalachicola area, before, during, and after the storm.

Out of the newsroom, Megan enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her goldendoodles, Max and May.
