A COUPLE OF MINUTES. ALL RIGHT ERIC, WE’LL SEE YOU SOON. AND NOW TO SOME BREAKING NEWS. A 13 YEAR-OLD GIRL MURDERED IN ORANGE COUNTY ON THE 4TH OF JULY. AND NOW DEPUTIES ARE LOOKING FOR HER KILLER. THIS HAPPENED ON SOUTH RIO GRANDE AVENUE NEAR 44TH STREET. WESH 2’S SENAIT GEBREGIORGIS IS LIVE AT THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE. AND TONIGHT INVESTIGATORS ARE LOOKING FOR THE COMMUNITY’S HELP TO FIND WHOEVER’S RESPONSIBLE. YEAH, IT’S JUST AWFUL. DEPUTIES HAVE IDENTIFIED HER AS ROSE DE SHOIGU, AND SHE IS 30. SHE WAS 13 YEARS OLD, AND THEY FOUND HER UNRESPONSIVE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AROUND 230. THEY HAVEN’T SAID YET HOW SHE WAS HURT, BUT THEY TELL US SHE HAD OBVIOUS TRAUMATIC INJURIES. AND CHOPPER TWO FLEW OVER WHERE THIS HAPPENED. IT WAS RIO GRANDE AVENUE AND NEAR 44TH STREET. FROM THE GROUND WE SAW AN APARTMENT COMPLEX, SOME HOMES AND BUS STOPS. WHEN DEPUTIES FOUND HER UNRESPONSIVE. THEY SAY MEDICS TOOK HER TO A HOSPITAL, BUT SHE LATER DIED. DETECTIVES ARE CALLING THIS A HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION AND THEY’RE WORKING HARD TO FIND THE GIRL’S KILLER. Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office have launched a homicide investigation after a 13-year-old girl died on Thursday.According to OCSO, deputies responded to South Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando around 2:30 p.m. after reports that a young teen was found unresponsive. Upon arrival, deputies say the girl, 13-year-old Rose Thalie Dieujuste, displayed obvious signs of trauma. She was rushed to the hospital, but later died from her injuries. The principal of the school she attended, Memorial Middle School, sent a note to families about the girl's death. Detectives say they are working tirelessly to uncover information about the girl's murder. No other information was immediately made available.
