Orange County deputies launch murder investigation after death of 13-year-old girl
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office have launched a homicide investigation after a 13-year-old girl died on Thursday.
According to OCSO, deputies responded to South Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando around 2:30 p.m. after reports that a young teen was found unresponsive.
Upon arrival, deputies say the girl, 13-year-old Rose Thalie Dieujuste, displayed obvious signs of trauma. She was rushed to the hospital, but later died from her injuries.
The principal of the school she attended, Memorial Middle School, sent a note to families about the girl's death.
Detectives say they are working tirelessly to uncover information about the girl's murder. No other information was immediately made available.
