Hired in 2017, Griggs was chief business officer, overseeing all aspects of the Atlanta United front office. She has also been honored with numerous awards throughout her career, including the Game Changer (2017) and 40 Under 40 (2022). The Associated Press reported that Griggs’ move came, in part, to be closer to family on the East Coast.Griggs will begin her Orioles’ role on Aug. 19. She is currently the only woman to hold a “president” role in the MLB.
