HISPANIC LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

December 6 and 7, 2023 | New York City

The Hispanic Leadership Summit will be data-driven, consensus-seeking, high-level, interactive, and inspirational for Hispanics and non-Hispanics to strategize effective action for companies and to create intentional networks of cross-sector, cross-industry support to progress, celebrate, and uplift the community. Conversations and work sessions throughout the day will focus on actionable ways to mobilize corporate America to advance Hispanics while aligning to the social agenda for the community to prosper effectively.


The Hispanic Leadership Summit will be 1.5 days of programming and networking to facilitate the creation of support networks that will advance key areas for the Hispanic community in 2024 and beyond.

With 63.7 million Hispanics in the US, the Census Bureau will undertake a comprehensive analysis of the latest data, trends, and future projections, with a focus on examining the economic and societal ramifications of this expanding demographic group. Participants will gain concrete insights into the most recent data, including an examination of the evolving labeling criteria and the implications this transformation may hold for businesses and society.

2:40 pm – 2:55 pm LDC U.S. Latino GDP Report

In 2023, the US-Latino GDP was measured at $3.2 trillion, representing  14% of the GDP.  While this data might be known to many, this presentation will focus on analyzing the implications of these new numbers on business strategy policymakers and the wider community.

2:55 pm – 3:10 pm Hispanic Sentiment Study Presentation

The 2023 Hispanic Sentiment Study indicates that Latinos have increased their pride and unity and yet feel disconnected from society. In this comparative research, done in partnership with Nielsen, Toluna, and Televisa/Univision, we analyze the sentiment of the Hispanic community while understanding that it can provide a roadmap for companies. The research offers more than a benchmark, it points to opportunities for big brands, companies, and media to unlock the potential of Hispanics.

3:10 pm – 3:25 pm Edelman Trust Barometer

The Hispanic community’s trust fluctuates more than any other community in the country, generating a high level of distrust. The Edelman Trust Barometer provides valuable insights into the intricate factors influencing trust and examines its impact on Corporate America, as well as the social and political landscapes.

3:25 pm – 4:05 pm From Data to Action: Insights for Strategic Planning

We’ve heard the data, now what? How do you capitalize for growth, talent or marketing strategies? During this session, experts from different fields will showcase how to transform data into intelligence to guide decision making.  Participants will gain valuable insights along with actionable steps to seamlessly integrate these findings into their Latino-focused strategies.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are vital contributors to the corporate landscape of America. This panel, led by distinguished ERG leaders will explore practical strategies and best practices for leveraging ERGs to enhance internal mechanisms of support, promote organizational development, deepen comprehension of Hispanic consumer demographics, and cultivate impactful community engagement.

6:00 pm – 6:30 pm From Idea to Supplier: The Playbook to Scale your Small Business 

Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States have shown a pattern of growth in terms of the number of businesses and their economic impact. Our expert panel is set to discuss the nuances of Hispanic entrepreneurship, offering insights, strategies, and hands-on advice for tackling specific challenges and capitalizing on emerging opportunities in this unique landscape. Witness the first launch of the refreshed version of the Hispanic Promise Framework. In 2023, inclusivity has become a central concern for brands and companies, but has enough been done? This session reveals a perception study on diverse audience representation, with a focus on Latinos. We’ll assess progress, consumer perceptions, and define effective representation in advertising and marketing.

Learning from other communities is the cornerstone of progress. In this forthcoming fireside chat, we will explore the transformative lessons drawn from the LGBTQ+ community’s journey towards unity and their remarkable increase in media representation. The perception of Latinos doesn’t represent reality. It is time to create a new narrative, more meaningful, respectful and relevant. A narrative without stereotypes, depicting Latinos as what we are: Hispanic Stars. We Are All Human will launch a 5-year perception change campaign inviting brands, media, and companies to join forces so that every latino can be seen, heard and valued.
