Jennifer Eagan

Jennifer Eagan is an anchor and general assignment reporter at WCVB Channel 5, Boston's News Leader. Jennifer anchors NewsCenter 5’s Weekend EyeOpener (Saturday & Sunday 5:00AM, 6:00AM, 8:00AM, and Sunday 10:00AM) along with Rhondella Richardson. She is a Wrentham native and has been a reporter in New England for more than a decade.

Jennifer joined WCVB from WHDH where she was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for more than five years. Before that, Jennifer worked at New England Cable News where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor. She has covered many locally and nationally significant stories throughout her career including the return of James “Whitey” Bulger to Boston after his arrest, a story that captured the first video of the notorious mob boss in decades. Jennifer has earned two Emmy Award nominations, first for her coverage of the arrest of a hospital worker in New Hampshire who was accused of infecting patients with Hepatitis C and second for a feature story on Honor Flight New England.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and is a graduate of Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro.
