SUMMER. NATIONAL GRID CUSTOMERS LISTEN UP. THE COMPANY IS CHANGING ITS BILLING SYSTEM, AND THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS. NATIONAL GRID IS READING, MEANING THE GAS BILL. HOPING TO MAKE IT EASIER TO READ AND UNDERSTAND HOW THE COSTS BREAK DOWN. EACH MONTH, YOU’LL ALSO RECEIVE A NEW TEN DIGIT ACCOUNT NUMBER THAT WILL BE FOUND IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF YOUR NEW BILL AND IN YOUR ONLINE PROFILE. IF YOU PAY THROUGH YOUR BANK’S WEBSITE BY A CHECK THROUGH A THIRD PARTY VENDOR, OR THROUGH THE AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM, YOU NEED THAT NEW NUMBER TO DO SO. TO IMPLEMENT THE CHANGES, ENROLLMENT AND ENROLLMENT FROM PAPERLESS BILLING AND DIRECT PAY IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED THROUGH NEXT MONDAY, AND THE NATIONAL GRID WEBSITE WILL BE UNAVAILABLE STARTING THIS WEDNESDAY, MAY 22ND THROUGH NEXT MONDAY. A change to the billing system is coming to National Grid customers. National Grid is redesigning customers' gas bills, hoping to make it easier to read and understand how costs are broken down each month.Customers will also receive a new 10-digit account number that will be found in the upper right-hand corner of the new bill and in customers' online profile.Customers who pay through their bank's website, by check, through a third-party vendor or through the automated phone system will need the new number to do so.To implement the changes, enrollment and unenrollment from paperless billing and DirectPay is currently suspended through next Monday.The National Grid website will be unavailable starting May 22 through May 27.The website will return to normal business operations displaying customers' new account number on May 28.
