ANTOINETTE. ALL RIGHT, BRIANNA, THANK YOU. TODAY, BOSTON WILL HONOR THE CITY’S FASTEST RUNNERS IN THIS YEAR’S BOSTON MARATHON. MAYOR MICHELLE WU AND THE B.A.A. ARE PRESENTING THEM WITH THE FASTEST BOSTON AN AWARDS AT CITY HALL TODAY. THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR OF THE HONOR RECOGNIZING THE FASTEST MAN WOMAN AND NON-BINARY RUNNER HERE ARE THOSE LIGHTNING FAST RECIPIES. IT’S ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY. RESIDENT DOCTOR MILES BATTY FINISHED THE RACE IN TWO HOURS, 25 MINUTES. ARIANNA MAIDA WORKS AS A PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT AT DANA-FARBER AND CROSSED THE FINISH LINE IN JUST UNDER TWO HOURS AND 50 MINUTES. BOSTON COLLEGE LAW SCHOOL STUDENT NONI ANDERSON HAD A TIME OF THREE HOURS AND 44 MINUTES. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. NOT JUST GREAT TIMES, BUT EVERYONE’S GOT A GREAT RESUME TOO.

Fastest Bostonians at 128th running of Boston Marathon honored
Boston officials will join the Boston Athletic Association on Monday to honor the city's fastest runners in the 128th Boston Marathon. Awards for the Fastest Bostonians are given to the Boston man, woman and non-binary runner with the quickest finish times at the marathon. Mayor Michelle Wu and the BAA will give the awards to to Dr. Miles Batty from West Roxbury, an orthopedic surgery resident who finished the race in 2 hours and 25 minutes, Arianna Maida from Jamaica Plain, a Physician Assistant at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute who finished the race in 2 hours 48 minutes and 50 seconds and Nonie Andersen from Brighton, a Boston College Law School student who finished the race in 3 hours 44 minutes and 18 seconds. “As Boston welcomes elite runners and visitors from around the globe for the world’s greatest race, we are also proud to celebrate our hometown talent,” Wu said. "Thanks to the B.A.A.’s partnership, we’re excited to continue the tradition of honoring our Fastest Bostonians. Congratulations to Miles, Arianna, and Nonie, who exemplify the best of Boston and contribute to our city every day. Their determination and commitment to excellence is inspiring to all.” The Boston Marathon is the world’s oldest annual marathon. This is the second year that Boston residents with the quickest time crossing the Finish Line will receive a commemorative glass bowl engraved with the phrase “Fastest Bostonian.”
