We Get the Job Done

We have put our expertise to work throughout the years to provide clients with the coverages they need to protect against the various exposures they face — whether it’s closing the gaps in existing insurance programs or providing higher Liability limits or coverages otherwise unavailable. Following are several examples of the insurance solutions we provide for clients. We can do the same for you.

WaterColor Management writes a Primary $1,000,000 per occurrence/$3,000,000 annual aggregate General, Professional, Products and Pollution Liability policy for a water treatment company. We also write a $4 million excess of $1 million policy. Our client treats water in cooling towers and boiler systems in the South. The insured also provides drumless chemical handling, treats wastewater and operates a water-testing laboratory. Premium: $8,500

Our insured was wrongly alleged to have been responsible for Legionella outbreak at a government building in California. Having paid defense costs of $1.2 million, WaterColor, together with the defense attorneys, had the case against our client dismissed.

A septic tank maintenance firm in the North East needed higher limits for General and Professional Liability. We provided $10 million in excess coverage, with both General Liability and Pollution on an occurrence-basis policy form. The occurrence form protects our client against claims until the statute of limitation date regardless of when an accident or leak occurs or when an allegation is made. Defense costs coverage in the Primary policy are unlimited.

A large water filter manufacturer sent an application and its existing policy to WaterColor after visiting our exhibit. They were concerned that their current insurer did not provide the full coverage needed for their business. Their policy excluded bacteria, mold, fungus and radon. We were able to close the coverage gaps in the policy with zero increase in premium.

A Midwestern water treatment company was cancelled by its Workers Compensation insurer. Alternative carriers could not agree on how to classify their exposures. We partnered with the insured and the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) to perform an on-site risk inspection. After the inspection, the NCCI determined the appropriate classification. We then found a Workers Compensation carrier and the insured has had stable coverage since.

We insure numerous small and start-up water operations and consultants with premiums as low as $1,000.
