If you’re a hayfever sufferer then spring/summer can be a particularly difficult time of the year. Allergies are rife during this period and it’s not uncommon to see people struggling with itchy eyes and flu-like symptoms.

If this sounds like you then Amazon have currently reduced an antihistamine that customers say is the “only one that works”. Clarityn’s allergy relief tablets — which are priced at £4.21 for 30 tablets, reduced by 57% — can help relieve hayfever and allergy symptoms all day (up to 24 hours) and is non-drowsy in the majority of users.

Clarityn provides relief of symptoms that can be triggered by over 150 different airborne allergens such as animal dander, pollen, dust & mould. Customers have been raving about the product with one person writing in their review: “One a day, easy to swallow and they work.”

Another person wrote: “Got these for my partner who really struggles with hay fever, they were an absolute bargain compared to my local supermarkets and high street shops. My partner seems to be doing well with them and says they don’t cause drowsiness like other antihistamines.”

And a third person echoed: “Good quality effective product that treats itching. Value for money. Tiny pills so easy to swallow.” A fourth said: “Only one that works for me and double the quantity for price compared to supermarket . Great.”

Not everyone was a fan of the product though, with one person saying in their negative review: “I tried these and they did nothing at all. It seems after reading reviews on allergy tablets you have to find the right one for yourself. The difference for me was that this brand did not ease any of my symptoms and was pointless. I took another brand and they really helped.”

If you’re somebody who couldn’t get on with the Clarityn tablets then there is alternative hayfever treatment on the market. One option is the Galpharm allergy relief tablets from Homeware Essentials which could be yours for £10. Also available is Allevia from Sainsbury’s for £11.50 which provides similar relief from allergies. Find out about the latest events in Wales by signing up to our What's On newsletter here.
