Popular boy band JLS are bringing their pop hits to Cardiff Castle on Sunday, July 7. The band, who shot to fame after coming runners up in the 2008 series of X Factor, will be performing their summer hits tour at the iconic Cardiff landmark.
Made up of Ashton Merrygold, Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill the band is known for their hits like Beat Again, Everybody in Love and The Club Is Alive. The band split up in 2013 before reuniting again in 2020.

Event timings for JLS at Cardiff Castle
Gates for the gig open at 5pm on Sunday, July 7 and last entry is at 8.30pm. There is a strictly no re-admission policy and ticket holders should expect queues at the entry gate and arrive with plenty of time before the first act they wish to see – no refunds will be given for acts missed.

JLS will be joined by English singer-songwriter Lemar. He is known for his songs If There's Any Justice, What About Love? and 50/50. Lemar rose to fame after finishing third on the third series of the British talent show Fame Academy. He recently took part in the hit ITV show The Masked Singer as Cricket.

Banned items for JLS at Cardiff Castle
You can not bring a chair to the gig. Food and drink are not permitted however there are food and drink concessions within the event. One sealed water bottle is allowed per person, a maximum of 500ml.
One empty reusable water bottle is permitted. There will be free water refill stations at the venue. If you have a medical condition, then a doctor’s note will permit diet-specific food and drink only.
No animals, other than guide or hearing dogs, are permitted on site. You are permitted to bring required medication, please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the festival and ensure you keep it safe with you at all times.
Small bags/rucksacks are permitted. Bag searches will be in operation. Umbrellas are not permitted as they obscure the view of others. Any cameras that are deemed as “professional” will not be permitted into the arena.
Extra information for JLS at Cardiff Castle
The event is outdoors and will go ahead unless there is extreme weather so you might need to pack your sun cream or your raincoat. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
There is no parking available at the Castle. The closest alternative car parks are the NCPs on Westgate Street, Cardiff Arms Park or Sofia Gardens. You can still buy tickets for the gig, here.
