Wales players train with Aussie rules ball as squad prepares for second Test

Some Welsh players watched an Aussie rules match together on July 7.

Wales players enjoyed a quick game of Aussie Rules Football ahead of their second Test against the Wallabies.

Wales face Australia in the second and final Test of the series this weekend, with Warren Gatland's squad aiming to secure their first win since the Rugby World Cup.

After losing 25-16 to the Wallabies in Sydney, the squad have now travelled to Melbourne in search of revenge over the southern hemisphere opponents.

Cardiff Rugby fly-half/centre Ben Thomas had a fine outing at 10 for his country, kicking nine points with a 100 per cent success rate. Wales' best player on the day was Aaron Wainwright, a man who is fast becoming one of the best number eights in world rugby.

Wales players travelled to Melbourne over the weekend and have been pictured training with a bright red Aussie rules ball in between their regular training.

Eddie James, Regan Grace and Archie Griffin were also spotted on Instagram at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne watching St Kilda Football Club against Sydney Swans in an Aussie Rules match.

The Test team for Saturday will be named in the coming days as Gatland's team aim to win their first Test since October 7 last year, where they beat Georgia in the World Cup.
