Police are investigating after a Post Office was broken into in Torfaen. Gwent Police say officers are investigating a report of a burglary from the Post Office in Commercial Street, Pontnewydd.
In an appeal on social media, the force shared CCTV footage of two men allegedly trying to gain entry to the building during the incident. They say that a large quantity of cigarettes were taken from the store.
They say CCTV shows two unknown men, dressed in dark clothing, entering the Post Office at around 1.05am on Tuesday, July 2. In the appeal they said: "We appreciate that the images are not clear, but we’re hoping that someone may recognise the clothing, or have information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, that may help.
