Kym Marsh has taken to Instagram to share her new relationship. Sharing a snapshot of herself and her co-star Samuel Thomas in a tender moment, captioning it with high praise she said she's found the "most amazing man ever".

The 48 year old former Coronation Street star expressed her unexpected joy in the post, writing: "Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou".

Currently, Kym and the 29 year old Samuel are performing together across the UK and Ireland with in the musical adaptation of 101 Dalmatians, where Kym plays the iconic Cruella de Vil and Samuel portrays Tom Dearly. Samuel is no stranger to the stage, having earned accolades for his work, including a Best Actor in a Musical award at The Stage Debut Awards in 2017 for his role in 'Allegro' at Southwark Playhouse.

On his own Instagram, Samuel shared his feelings for Kym with a black and white photo of the pair, captioned: "I didn't expect you, but here you are. I love you," accompanied by a heart emoji. Kym reciprocated the affection, commenting: "Ditto. The best things happen unexpectedly. Love you too," reports the Mirror.

The surprise romance comes just a year after Kym's well-publicised split from her Army Major husband Scott Ratcliffe, following a two-year whirlwind marriage. The pair initially said their vows in October 2021 in a romantic ceremony attended by 150 guests.

However, despite an optimistic start, the couple separated in May 2023, a mere 19 months after first saying "I do." Reflecting on her unsuccessful marriage with The Guardian, the soap star remarked: "It's just experience."

She further stated: "I think I am a risk-taker because 'What if? ' is always worse." She went on to say: "Comfortable is not good. I always want to be that person who has a go, because I wouldn't want to sit there years down the line and say: 'I wonder what would have happened if ...? '".

Before marrying Scott, Kym had a series of high-profile relationships with several well-known celebrities, including former EastEnders actor Jack Ryder, whom she fell for after meeting in a BBC canteen. The singer reportedly fell head over heels for the Jamie Mitchell actor back in 2001, when she bumped into him in the staff canteen following a Top of the Pops performance.

Clearly taken with each other, the duo began dating, before later tying the knot at St Albans parish church, Hertford, in August 2002. The couple enjoyed six years together before deciding to end their relationship in 2008. Their divorce was finalised in 2009.

After her divorce in 2009, Kym found love again with Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, and they soon announced a pregnancy.

Tragically, their son Archie passed away minutes after birth due to premature labour at 21 weeks, caused by a condition that led to his early delivery. Despite this devastating loss, Kym and Jamie's relationship endured, and they were blessed with a daughter, Polly, in March 2011.

The couple tied the knot in September 2012 but divorced two years later. In another twist of romance, Kym briefly dated her Coronation Street colleague Oliver Mellor in 2013.

Post-breakup, Oliver shared with the Mirror: "We planned a future together. We loved each other and we weren't afraid to say it. It wasn't something we intended to happen, but we couldn't stop our feelings."

Oliver eventually married model Rhian Sugden, and they remain together. Kym's first love was Dave Cunliffe, father to her children David and Emily, whom she met in a karaoke pub back in 1994.

The couple, who were engaged and had planned to marry, decided to call it quits in 1999, a year after their daughter Emily was born. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
