This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Charles Weigel.

Weigel wrote to us this week about a very unpleasant experience he had at the D.M.V. trying to get a handicapped parking permit renewed. He's calling for some improvements in the process.

In his words: What a traumatic experience getting a handicapped parking permit renewed. A three hour and 15 minute wait after checking in. It was so crowded that a lot of people had to stand up. On the side I was sitting on, there were 14 windows for service. During the time I was there, the most windows open were five and that was only for about 10 minutes. Most of the time, only two were open. Why have such a large facility if you are not going to staff it? I did notice that later in the afternoon, more windows started opening. Were they just coming back from a three hour lunch break?
