Your Turn: Government-Funded Property Conditions

This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Emily Parsons.

Parsons is one of many people who reacted on our Facebook page to Cheryl Mercedes' investigative report on the deplorable conditions at a government-funded apartment complex. Many of the people who reacted were upset that their tax dollars were being used to subsidize rent for anyone. Others like Parsons were more charitable.

In her words: Wow! Some of you people have no soul. I understand that the system is heavily abused, and it is infuriating, but no one deserves to live like that. Property owners like these should never be allowed to own rental property again. And those in management should never be allowed to work that type of job again. How do they sleep at night?
