This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Jill Hawes.

Hawes and hundreds of other people commented on our Facebook page about the alert truck stop employee who spotted a convicted sex offender traveling with a missing teenage girl. Hawes wants the incident to serve as a warning to other parents.

In her words: Prayers for this little girl and her family. I know that I am not the only parent in this world who sees these types of stories, so why are parents just allowing their kids to go and do whatever they want? We should be able to trust our communities, but we can't. Lock your doors, keep your kids safe, and good grief, show them stories like this. Maybe it will scare them into being more cautious.
