Bicyclist in critical condition after being hit by 2 vehicles, officials say

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a person on a bicycle was reportedly hit by two vehicles on Tuesday morning, July 9.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9 on Greenwell Springs Road.

Police said a Lexus was traveling eastbound in the left lane on Greenwell Springs Road near the intersection of Lone Oaks Drive. After impact, the cyclist was in the left lane and was struck again by a Toyota, added police.

The person who was hit was taken to the hospital in critical condition, said emergency officials.

The driver of the Lexus remained on scene, according to police.
