BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Community College and ExxonMobil are hosting an open house for the North Baton Rouge Industrial Training Initiative (NBRITI). It will take place at the BRCC Acadian Campus, at 3250 N. Acadian Thruway, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 9.

This is the eleventh NBRITI cohort, that will include different educational opportunities including process technology training. Other offerings include electrical, instrumentation, millwright, pipefitting, and welding. These are offered at no cost to participants and best help equip individuals with necessary skills needed for employment in the industry.

ExxonMobil supports expanding science, technology, engineering, and math. BRCC has helped equip the students with necessary skills to be ready to take on the workforce.

Students will be able to tour labs and classrooms, while also getting to speak with teachers and other students.
