Reduced-fee adoptions available at select shelters during ‘Empty the Shelter’ campaign

BISSELL Pet Foundation is hosting the Summer National Empty the Shelters™ reduced-fee adoption event from July 8-31.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A national campaign to reduce the number of animals in shelters has begun with many shelters across the country offering reduced adoption fees until the end of the month, including some in the greater Baton Rouge area.

According to BISSELL Pet Foundation, the Summer National Empty the Shelters™ reduced-fee adoption event is happening from July 8-31.

The following animal shelters in the greater Baton Rouge area are participating:

  • Companion Animal Alliance (Baton Rouge)
  • Pointe Coupee Parish Animal Services
  • West Feliciana Animal Humane Society

Other shelters in Louisiana participating in the campaign include:
