Osceola Street church fire under investigation

Investigators are currently looking into what caused a church fire on Thursday afternoon, June 4.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Investigators are currently looking into what caused a church fire on Thursday afternoon, June 4.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, they responded to a fire at Hall of Faith Church on Osceola Street around 12:18 p.m.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find smoke coming from the attic of the building and were able to put out the fire before it spread to other areas. Fire damage was contained only to the attic, officials say.

Other areas of the building suffered minor water damage as well.

No injuries are reported and the fire is currently under investigation.
