BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A grand jury returned an indictment Wednesday, July 3, against a woman accused of killing her girlfriend in March.

Danielle Bell, 39, now faces a charge of Second-Degree Murder after she allegedly shot and killed Brittany Williams in Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge Police said Williams was driving Bell to a parking lot on Stan Avenue when the couple began to argue. A family member was able to track the location of Williams’ cellphone and found the woman dead inside of a car.

Detectives found evidence of a tractor-trailer being driven away from the scene and determined that Bell was the driver.

Bell was later found and arrested in DeSoto, Mississippi.

Multiple reports were filed about domestic incidents between the women leading up to the shooting, including some where Bell is accused of causing trouble at Williams’ home, according to police.

The case is set before 19th Judicial District Judge Eboni Johnson Rose. Bell was still in custody as of Wednesday.
