Two suspects arrested in Loranger puppy theft case

LORANGER, La. (WVUE) - The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two women in connection with the theft of three German Shepherd puppies from a home in Loranger.

Sarah Folse, 31, and Deanna Witten, 52, of Amite, turned themselves into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Thursday (July 4). They were each booked on one count of felony theft and trespassing.

The incident happened on June 22 at a home in the 17000 block of Hwy. 40.

The homeowner reported that two white women pulled into his driveway in a white vehicle and took three German Shepherd puppies off their leashes from the back porch.

The theft was captured on home surveillance video.
