DONALDSONVILLE, La. (WAFB) - The 23rd Judicial District Court announced the following guilty pleas entered during the week of June 17 - June 21, 2024:

ASCENSION PARISH

1. Jaris Howard, 1103 Maginnis St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Manslaughter and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The defendant was sentenced to 25 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

2. Jamal Jacque, 6312 Babin Wilson St. Convent, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Illegal Use of Weapons and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

3. Tisha Forcell, 1207 St. Vincent St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 47, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

4. Sharon Friedley, 4189 Haydel Rd. Darrow, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

5. Sharmar Jones, 2132 S Helens Way Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Felony Simple Criminal Damage to Property and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

6. Ben Stegall, 13364 Adam Templet Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

7. Jason Roe, 18024 Oretha Castle New Orleans, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

8. Lacey Leondre, 5154 Mars Dr. Darrow, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

9. Chas Harrison, 18451 Gilbert St. Prairieville, LA, age 32, pled guilty to Residential Contractor Fraud and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

10. Daniel Melancon, 44394 Braud St. Sorrento, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $5,000 or More, but Less than $25,000 and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Leila Braswell and Jeff Heggelund. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Keyojuan Turner.

11. Keshaun Cook, 1504 Delta Rd. Mineral Wells, TX, age 21, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Attempted Theft of a Motor Vehicle. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

12. Trevor Rock, 507 Hickory St. Thibodaux, LA, age 29, pled guilty to First Degree Vehicular Negligent Injuring and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

13. Jordan Bradford, 1903 Cypress Woods St. Baker, LA, age 26, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.

14. Jacob Bullard, 39407 Richardson St. Prairieville, LA, age 43. Pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Adam Koenig and Lana Chaney. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau.

ASSUMPTION PARISH

1. Randy Clark, 158 Friendship Alley Amelia, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

2. Christian Fielder, 122 A N Curtis St. Pierre Part, LA, age 25, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The defendant is to serve 1 ½ years of the said sentence, and the remaining 2 ½ years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation.

3. Stanley Verrett, 614 Barbier Ave. Thibodaux, LA, age 42, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin.

ST. JAMES PARISH

1. Dasia Victor, 10475 E Fauburg Cr. St. James, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.
