LSU’s Haleigh Bryant to be recognized at CWSA Honda Show
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - All eyes will be on Haleigh Bryant Monday night as she looks to possibly take home the Honda Cup. This achievement would be a first in LSU athletic history.
LSU Athletics announced Bryant has won the Honda Sport Award for gymnastics, and she will be recognized as one of the nation’s top female collegiate athletes at the College Women’s Sports Awards (CWSA) Show presented by Honda on Monday, June 24.
Bryant is the second gymnast in LSU history to win the Honda Sport Award for gymnastics. As a winner of the sport award, she becomes a finalist for the Collegiate Women Athlete of the Year and the 2024 Honda Cup.
LSU athletes have yet to win the Honda Cup in CWSA’s 47-year history.
According to LSU Athletics, Bryant, who led the LSU Gymnastics program to its first national championship in April of 2024, was chosen as the winner of the gymnastics award by a vote of administrators from over 1,000 NCAA member schools.
