Five arrested in connection with prostitution ring in St. Mary Parish

MORGAN CITY, La. (WAFB) - Five people have been arrested in connection with a prostitution ring in St. Mary Parish.
According to the Mogran City Police Department, the arrests were made on Thursday, June 20.
Detectives conducted an investigation targeting people allegedly soliciting prostitution. Police said the purpose of the operation was to combat prostitution while possibly protecting minors from sexual exploitation.
The investigation targeted specific internet sites used in the promotion of ads to purchase sexual services or used for human trafficking, according to law enforcement.
The following individuals were arrested in connection to the investigation:
Joelle Cunningham, 40
- Prostitution
- Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Fugitive (17th Judicial District courts)
- Fugitive (32nd Judicial District Courts)
Denise Nicole Blanchard Dillion, 25
- Prostitution
Patrick Mitague, 36
- Solicitation-Prostitution
- Possession of SCH III CDS (Suboxone)
Blair Chauvin, 36
- Prostitution
Nicolas Fitch, 42
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
