Man dies from injuries sustained in attempted robbery 3 years prior

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in the victim’s death three years later.

According to BRPD, Warren West was shot during an attempted armed robbery in downtown Baton Rouge on Feb. 7, 2021. He died at 35 years old on Monday, June 17, 2024, from complications stemming from the gunshot injury.

This is an ongoing investigation. No other details were released.
