DONALDSONVILLE, La. (WAFB) - The 23rd Judicial District Court announced the following guilty pleas entered during the week of June 10-14, 2024:

ASCENSION PARISH

1. Alesha Cedotal, Denham Springs, LA, age 19, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

2. Lemonica Nelson, Donaldsonville, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

3. William Espinosa, Livingston, LA, age 50, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

4. Ashley Tremont, Prairieville, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Monetary Instrument Abuse and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

5. Hayro Suc, Foley, AL, age 44, pled guilty to Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway Commerce and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years un-supervised probation.

6. Aundre Neal, Gonzales, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

7. John Lessard, Saint Amant, LA, age 32, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Illegal Use/Possession/Control of Weapons-Crime of Violence or Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

8. Braeden Williams, Prairieville, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Simple Robbery and was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.

9. Danny Villenurve, Saint Amant, LA, age 50, pled guilty to Simple Criminal Damage to Property Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Phillip Prescott, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.

10. Demarcus Morris, Baton Rouge, LA, age 28. Pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (3 counts) and Illegal Use of Weapons (3 counts). The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

11. Joshua Lebeuf, Baton Rouge, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

12. Preston Sharp, Prairieville, LA, age 28, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm by Person Convicted of Domestic Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Phil Maples and Brant Mayer. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin.

ASSUMPTION PARISH

1. Travonta Ausama, Napoleonville, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1-year supervised probation.

2. Adam Carrere, Houma, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

3. Chad Cannella, Gonzales, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, Theft Valued at $750 or More, but Less than $5,000, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

4. Jude Cantrelle Jr., St. Larose, LA, age 31, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

5. Faith Johnson, Napoleonville, LA, age 21, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

6. Brandon Gaspard, Pierre Part, LA, age 45, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1-year supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge James Kuhn.

ST. JAMES PARISH
