BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - One person is in custody after a police chase across the city on Monday morning, June 17.

Jason Simon, 39, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated flight from an officer and resisting an officer.

According to police, law enforcement was called as Simon was test driving a vehicle and looked suspicious. When police arrived, Simon reportedly sped off in the vehicle.

The pursuit started in north Baton Rouge and went down Government Street before coming to a stop at the KFC parking lot on Perkins Road near Bluebonnet Boulevard.
