BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Colleagues of a Baton Rouge plastic surgeon who died in a plane crash in Tennessee Wednesday have issued a statement about his passing, calling him an “esteemed colleague and cherished team member.”

Dr. Lucius “Tre” Doucet was piloting a plane that he owned when it crashed. All three people on board the plane were killed. The identities of the other two passengers have not yet been publicly released.

The plane departed from Gonzales, in Ascension Parish, Wednesday morning and was enroute to Louisville at the time of the crash.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we must announce the passing of our esteemed colleague and cherished team member, Dr. Doucet on May 15.
Dr. Doucet was not only an exceptional surgeon, but also a compassionate man who touched the lives of countless individuals within our community. His dedication to patients was unmatched, and his kindness and empathy were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The sudden and untimely loss of Dr. Doucet has left a deep void in our hearts and in our practice. We understand that many of you had formed strong bonds with him over the years, relying on his expertise, guidance, and unwavering support.
Words cannot adequately express the profound sorrow we feel at this time. Dr. Doucet’s passion for medicine, his commitment to excellence, and his genuine care for each of you will be dearly missed. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he has touched and the lasting impact he has made on our practice and community.
