U-High Baseball wins first ever State Championship behind a late rally

SULPHUR, La. (WAFB) - University High scored 10 runs in the final two innings to defeat St. Charles Catholic 11-8 in the LHSAA Division III Select State Championship.
It is the first baseball state championship in U-High program history.
Jacob McCann’s go ahead three run double in the Top 7th ended up being the difference. McCann had 5 RBIs and was named the game’s most outstanding player.
