Monthly food giveaway in Ascension Parish set for Tuesday
ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) - The Ascension Parish Government announced its monthly food giveaway will take place on Tuesday, April 23.
The event, in collaboration with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, provides food to residents who may be in need.
Due to unforeseen circumstances stemming from the recent storm on April 10 the monthly food distribution initially scheduled for that date had to be postponed.
As a result, the distribution event will now take place on Tuesday at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in the parking lot, starting at 8 a.m. Residents who typically receive monthly food distributions from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank are urged to attend this rescheduled event to collect their essential supplies.
