Southern begins spring football

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Southern went through their first spring football practice of 2024 Monday afternoon.
First year head coach Terrence Graves added three new assistants to his staff: Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs coach Mark Frederick, Tight Ends Coach Fred McNair & Defensive Ends Coach/Special Teams Coordinator Everett Todd.
The Jags go into the spring without an official starting quarterback.
Graves say Noah Bodden will take the first team reps.
Backups C’zavian “Zae” Teasett and Jalen Woods are also competing.
The Spring Game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13th at A.W. Mumford Stadium.
