BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) wants your input on how to improve its services.

Last Fall, the Empower Baton Rouge Transit Study spoke with community members in the CATS service area to understand what challenges the community faces when using the bus service. This feedback led to the development of the proposed improvements and passenger amenities.

Now, CATS is seeking community feedback on the proposed improvements through listening sessions, a survey, and other events.

The study team is expected to host an in-person listening session. The session will give riders a chance to learn more about the improvements and share feedback.

The in-person listening session will take place on Tuesday, March 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This session will be an open-house format to allow residents to drop in at any time to review materials and talk with the study team. There will not be a formal presentation.

The session is happening at 2250 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge.

CATS says the study team will be at the listening session to speak with residents.

Community members are encouraged to participate in the Empower Baton Rouge Study survey to provide feedback on the proposed improvements. The survey will be open through March 29, 2024.
