Learn about the homebuying process at this financial wellness workshop
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Pelican State Credit Union wants to keep potential homebuyers informed.
The credit union is hosting a free financial wellness workshop on Monday, March 4.
It’s happening at the Main Library at Goodwood. The address is 7711 Goodwood Boulevard.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The presentation begins at 6 p.m.

Participants will get the chance to learn about the homebuying process and how to move forward with purchasing a new home.
Pelican’s nationally certified credit counselor Nekiba Johnson and a panel of experts will discuss the steps to build a healthy credit history, current mortgage financing options, how to navigate the real estate market, and more.
Free dinner and dessert will be provided. Attendees will also be entered into a raffle to win a $50 VISA gift card and a Pelican prize pack.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
