29th Annual African American Heritage Month celebration kicks off Thursday

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - African American Heritage Month, also known as Black History Month, is celebrated throughout February.

Chief United States District Judge Shelly D. Dick and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana will host the 29th Annual African American Heritage Program on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.

The event will take place at 1 p.m. inside of courtroom one on the third floor of the Russell B. Long Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse.

The guest speaker will be Mr. Brandon V. Lewis, Museum Educator and Public Programs Manager with the LSU Museum of Art.
