SU women’s basketball defeats Texas Southern 68-52 on the road
HOUSTON, Texas (WAFB) - The Southern University Lady Jaguars handled business on the road with a 68-52 victory over Texas Southern University (TSU) on Monday night.
Southern defeated the Tigers inside the H&PE Arena on TSU’s campus.
According to Southern Jaguars Athletics, the blue and gold outscored TSU 20-12 to end the first quarter and took an eight-point lead after the first ten minutes of the game.
The Jaguars closed out the half by outscoring the Tigers 16-10 in the second quarter to give the Jaguars a fourteen-point lead to end the first half, 36-22.
Southern finished the game by outscoring the Tigers 21-18, to pick up their fourth win in a row, 68-52.
You can catch the women’s basketball team back in action on Saturday, Feb. 24 when they take on Grambling State University at 3 p.m. in Baton Rouge.
