LSU running back claims he is ‘100% innocent’ after arrest for attempted murder
FARMERVILLE, La. (WAFB) - LSU running back Trey Holly claimed he’s innocent on social media Saturday, Feb. 17, after he was arrested following a shooting in Union Parish.
Holly took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say he was “falsely identified, accused, and arrested,” and that he is “100% innocent.”

The running back was arrested Thursday, Feb. 15, after a shooting in Farmerville on Feb. 9, when a woman was shot in the back, and a man was shot in the leg, according to the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Holly faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon. He’s being held on a $510,000 bond.
LSU released the following statement in wake of the arrest:
We are aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in relation to a shooting in Union Parish. This student-athlete has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will have no further comment.
