Baton Rouge General to celebrate Mardi Gras with patient parade

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Let the good times roll!
The Baton Rouge General’s Mid City campus is celebrating Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday with a patient parade in its skilled nursing and inpatient rehabilitation units.
The event is a favorite for everyone involved, according to the hospital.
Patients are strolled down hospital halls, tossing throws to visitors and staff lining the “route.”
Organizers say the parade adds a twist to the patients’ typical routine.
It’ll begin at 2 p.m. near BRG’s main entrance facing Florida Boulevard.
