BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Are you interested in a career in the healthcare industry? There’s a new program that can help you get the experience you may need.

EmployBR in partnership with Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, H.E.A.R.T. Academy, and Rosebud Training Academy is launching a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Pilot Program for free to eligible parish citizens.

Organizers say the goal of the program is to help selected participants interested in patient care with training and employment opportunities in the area.

Orientation and information sessions are scheduled on the following dates:

The following documents are required but not needed to complete orientation and registration:

  • driver’s license or ID
  • birth certificate or voter registration
  • social security card or passport
  • proof of EBR residency
