Southern baseball to open their 2024 season next week in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (WAFB) - Southern University will open their 2024 baseball season on Friday, Feb. 16 at Minute Maid park in Houston.
The Jaguars will play in the Cactus Jack HBCU Classic. Game one is at 11 a.m. against Alcorn State.
Game two is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. against Grambling State.
Southern closes out the weekend against Texas Southern on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.
Before opening day in H-Town, Head Coach Chris Crenshaw and his staff need to set some things in stone.
