BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Southern University has moved the football game against Bethune-Cookman due to multiple events happening in Daytona Beach, officials said.

The game will reportedly be moved to TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Fla.

According to officials, the game will be on Saturday, October 21, at 4 p.m.

Bryce Hoynoski, the Director of Athletic Communications at Bethune-Cookman stated that the reason why the game was moved was not due to concerns with events.

“The game with Southern was not moved due to concerns with events, but rather to expand on our existing partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars and TIAA Bank Field saw our game against Jackson State draw over 22,000 fans last season, a record for our program at that venue,” Hoynoski said in an email.
