“The big moth!” You know in your heart of hearts that if, for some reason, Donald Trump had to discuss Mothra, he’d call her The Big Moth. And Seth Meyers knew it too. Meyers recapped the two weeks of news he’s missed since the last “A Closer Look,” and most of it was too depressing to goof on. So is it any surprise he took shelter in absudity? And did an impression of Trump giving faint praise to Godzilla and Mothra, Queen of the Monsters? It makes sense in context, but it’s almost better existing ex nihilo.
