You Know Exactly What Happens in This Paul Rudd Conan Clip

Paul Rudd stopped by Conan O’Brien’s TBS late-night show last night to promote his new Netflix series, Living With Yourself, and if you’re at all familiar with Rudd and O’Brien’s history together, you can probably see what happens next from a mile away. After a short conversation in which Rudd admits he hasn’t watched Game of Thrones and explains Living With Yourself as “the cornhole of TV,” it’s time to get to the part of the interview when Rudd gives the signal for O’Brien to roll a clip from the show. But as is tradition anytime Rudd visits O’Brien since he started the bit in 2004, Rudd’s clip isn’t from Living With Yourself at all, but instead from the 1988 movie Mac and Me. It’s the dumbest long-running bit on late-night TV, which is why it’s also just the best. “I love how many people in the audience were like ‘Here we go!’” O’Brien says. “Well,” Rudd says, “clearly many people have seen the trailer.”
