Hilary Swank will star in and produce Shrapnel, a movie based on a comic book by Nick Sagan and M. Zachary Sherman, according to Variety. Several top directors are reportedly circling the film. The sci-fi-slash-Western is set in the year 2250, following “a former Solar Alliance Marine,” to be played by Swank, who leads a battle on the planet Venus, the universe’s last free colony, against an oppressive solar government.
