Bored to Death actor Ted Danson has landed a series regular role on CBS’s still-kickin’ CSI. His character will debut in the season premiere on Wednesday, September 21. Replacing Laurence Fishburne, Danson — who will stay on Bored to Death as well — will play the new CSI graveyard-shift supervisor, leading a team “still grappling” with the repercussions of last season’s takedown of serial killer Nate Haskell, according to a press release. Danson’s a solid choice for the crime drama: Everybody knows his name, after all.
