It's official, the house of Chloé announced this Monday, December 7 to entrust its creative direction to the Uruguayan designer Gabriela Hearst. On December 3, after almost four years as the creative director of the French house, Natacha Ramsay-Levi exited her role as Chloe.

In a fashion industry striving to be more responsible than ever, Gabriela Hearst was also honored a few days ago during the British Fashion Awards 2020 ceremony for her commitment to the environment (she recently signed a collection on the balance sheet carbon neutral).

At the helm of her eponymous brand since 2015, which she will continue to develop after taking office at Chloé, Gabriela Hearst has established herself as the first designer with a multicultural heritage to both Uruguay and the United States to be appointed as creative director of a Parisian house. Considered one of the pioneers of sustainable fashion, whose designs have attracted Kate Middleton as well as a handful of American first ladies, Hearst left New York for her very first fashion show in Paris last October. Her first pieces for Chloé will be presented in March. Stay tuned.
