In the world of cosmetics, there’s always a handful of new beauty products to unearth. With reformulated classics, just-discovered ingredients, and high-tech tools released each month, understanding what to stock your vanity with can feel confusing. To help inform your buy, here, we take a look at the new beauty arrivals worth knowing—and shopping.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve maintained this idea that wearing SPF is this thing you have to do, not the thing you want to do—which understandably makes the draw to the best new sunscreens minimal. Unlike luxurious serums and creams that oftentimes are more meditative than anything, the sunscreen market leaves a lot to be desired. Honestly, we wear it because we want to ward off harmful sun rays and do what we can to avoid skin cancer; we do not wear sunscreen because it’s an inherently pleasurable part of a morning routine.

Clearly, there’s a disconnect, which is why Carolyn Stull, MD, FAAD, board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon at MCDS Dermatology, says there’s plenty of room to innovate. She lists eliminating white cast, limiting irritation, and reducing environmental impact as concerns worth addressing in order to take an SPF from good to great. Celebrity esthetician Shani Darden believes the biggest gap is the lack of education between a chemical versus mineral SPF, so brands can not only provide guidance on which to use, but address their respective challenges. “Mineral sunscreen that contains titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide can leave a white cast,” she says, adding that you will also need to rub in mineral sunscreen more. “Chemical sunscreens can sometimes be irritating to sensitive skin.”

For New York City-based board-certified dermatologist Blair Murphy-Rose, MD, FAAD, sunscreen innovation prioritizes an improved user experience—listing “texture, ingredient combinations, and factors like tints, organic and vegan options, clean ingredients, and cruelty-free certifications” as worthwhile considerations. “What I love may not be what someone else loves,” she says. “That said, all great sunscreens should provide broad spectrum protection with an SPF of 30 or higher.”

All of this to say, founders and R&D teams have clearly been working overtime because the best new sunscreens of 2024 have hit the nail on the head. As I began to test the SPF launches that arrived in the Vogue beauty closet, I was shocked at how good they were—so much so I decided to give them there own spotlight in this month’s new arrivals. There’s a completely clear, niacinamide-infused sunscreen by Glow Recipe that I nearly spilled the secret about on multiple occasions. There’s a mineral sunscreen stick by Avène that applies shockingly smooth sans white cast. There’s even a completely clear gel by Allies of Skin all skin tones can appreciate. All of these and more, below, making the case for trying a new sunscreen this year.

Our Top Picks

Best Hybrid: SkinCeuticals Clear Daily Soothing UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50

SkinCeuticals

Clear Daily Soothing UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50

  • Why We Love It: Addressing how sunscreen limits and treats sensitivities and redness is of top concern these days, and SkinCeuticals is back with an answer to these qualms. With Clear Daily Soothing UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50, it delivers “extra care” to irritated skin types via hybrid UV filters and a host of soothing ingredients like bisabolol, glycerin, and peptides. According to Vicki Rapaport, MD, board-certified dermatologist and founder of Rapaport Dermatology of Beverly Hills, “This sunscreen provides a crucial broad-spectrum shield against UVA + UVB rays, effectively minimizing [symptoms of redness/violaceous and breakouts] and offering relief from the discomfort of sensitivity.” Its high SPF 50 protection ensures thorough defense without causing further irritation, making it an essential addition to any sensitive skin regimen. She often recommends it to her sensitive skin and rosacea-prone patients, or anyone with sensitive, eye stinging.
  • Editor’s Experience: I've come to really appreciate a no-fuss SPF—you know one you can put on when you’re rushing out the door and don’t want to worry that your sunscreen has left a purplish tint on your skin. Or, one you’d grab when your skin feels taut after hours outside or an aesthetic treatment. That’s how I like to think about this SkinCeuticals formula. Not only is the ingredient composition excellent, and as you now know notably gentle, it wears like your favorite face moisturizer. With a consistency somewhere between a lotion and a cream, this blends easily, doesn’t pill, and leaves no residue.
  • Chemical or Mineral: Both (7% zinc oxide paired with 8% homosalate, 5% octisalate, 5% octocrylene)
  • Key Ingredients: 2.5% palmitoyl tripeptide-8, 0.5% bisabolol, Netlock™ Technology, 7% glycerin
  • SPF Level: 50
  • Texture: Light cream
  • Broad-Spectrum: Yes
  • White Cast: No
  • Finish: Transparent, skin-like

Best Transparent: Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Balm Sunscreen Stick SPF 45

Glow Recipe

Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Balm Sunscreen Stick SPF 45

  • Why We Love It: Glow Recipe’s latest debut was one of my hardest kept secrets of 2024—in part because I was immediately intrigued by an SPF counterpart to the brand’s buzzy Dew Drops, and because it applies unlike any SPF I’ve ever tried. And per Glow Recipe co-founder Sarah Lee, that’s exactly the point. "With our new Dew Balm, you not only get SFP 45 protection with every swipe, but a dewy glass skin finish as well,” she says, making applying sunscreen not a chore, but an enjoyable experience.
  • Editor’s Experience: Reading the ingredient list of Dew Balm also piqued my interest. Niacinamide, watermelon, hyaluronic acid, squalane—all of my favorite ingredients currently stocking my vanity, including the Dew Drops. But instead of just delivering a beautiful gleam, it protects skin from UV rays too via chemical UV filters. The brand describes this as a “sunscreen serum stick” and I couldn’t agree more. We like to talk about moisturizers with SPF but this encourages a new category—serum with SPF. When I apply it, I often forget its technically sunscreen at all which is truly the best part. Weightless, completely transparent, and fully undetectable aside from the dewy sheen it leaves behind, this is a sunscreen I can’t believe I ever had to live without.
  • Chemical or Mineral: Chemical
  • Key Ingredients: Niacinamide, Squalane, hyaluronic acid, watermelon
  • SPF Level: 45
  • Texture: Gel-balm
  • Broad-Spectrum: Yes
  • White Cast: No
  • Finish: Dewy

Best Sunscreen Gel: Allies of Skin The One SPF 50 Invisible Sunscreen Gel

Allies of Skin

The One SPF 50 Invisible Sunscreen Gel

  • Why We Love It: “We set out to create the sunscreen for anyone who hates traditional sunscreen–an SPF with chemical UV filters, that is conditioning and never pills,” says Allies of Skin founder Nicolas Travis. “I wanted to create an invisible, pore refining and beard friendly SPF that works for all gender and skin tones.” And so, the brand is now debuting its first suncare product since its 2016 launch. True to name, “The One” can easily be the only sunscreen you’ll ever need—packed with not only protective UV ray agents but vitamin C, green tea, carrot seed, licorice root, and red raspberry seed oil, too.
  • Editor’s Experience: With a bevy of sunscreens to choose from these days, I like to use as high an SPF as I can so I am quite pleased this offers broad-spectrum SPF 50 protection. But what I love most is that it’s a gel! I’ve seen this sort of formula before, but very rarely in one crafted specifically for the face. Applying this feels sort of like a face primer—lightweight, easily absorbed, and massaging into a sort of mattifying texture. Music to my oil skin-prone ears! (This blurred effect helps minimize the look of pores, too.)
  • Chemical or Mineral: Chemical (Avobenzone 3%, homosalate 7%, octocrylene 10%, octisalate 5%)
  • Key Ingredients: Second-Skin Aloe Membrane Complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, green tea, niacinamide, licorice root extract, carrot seed extract, red raspberry seed oil
  • SPF Level: 50
  • Texture: Gel
  • Broad-Spectrum: Yes
  • White Cast: No
  • Finish: Soft-focus blur
  • Size: 1.7 fl oz

Best Sunscreen Stick: Avène Mineral Sunscreen Balm Stick SPF 50

Avène

Mineral Sunscreen Balm Stick SPF 50

  • Why We Love It: Generally speaking, experts say those with sensitive skin should opt for a mineral sunscreen as this form of filter provides a physical barrier against UV rays and tends to be less irritating than its chemical counterpart. But despite its relative gentleness, mineral sunscreens can be tricky—often leaving some form of white cast and require copious blending, as Darden explained above. Which is why Avène, the beloved French pharmacy staple known for its soothing skin-care solutions, sought to create Mineral Sunscreen Balm Stick SPF 50—a physical SPF that seamlessly fits into anyone’s lifestyle, from daily wear to outdoor activities and days by the pool. “This formula can be quickly and easily applied to sensitive areas like the face or lips (which can be more vulnerable during periods of high sun exposure) for easy touch ups throughout the day,” says Jackie Hoesch Smith, Avène’s executive director of brand marketing in the U.S. On ingredients, it’s powered by 12% zinc oxide plus conditioning agents like bisabolol, allantoin, and jojoba esters for well-rounded protection.
  • Editor's Experience: Out of all the sunscreens on this list, I was most pleasantly surprised by this Avène drop. The stick boasts a soft, silky texture that feels almost like a skin tint or moisturizer when rubbed on. Though the formula itself appears white, it blends transparently, leaving a natural, skin-like sheen that’s great for daily use. To Smith’s point, I did not try it on my lips but love that I can throw this in my bag for summertime beach days and treat my entire face in one fell swoop.
  • Chemical or Mineral: Mineral (zinc oxide 12%)
  • Key Ingredients: Bisabolol, allantoin, jojoba esters, tocopherol
  • SPF Level: 50
  • Type: Stick
  • Texture: Lightweight cream
  • Broad-Spectrum: No
  • White Cast: No
  • Finish: Transparent, slightly matte

Best Mineral: Lightsaver Activated Mineral Sunscreen SPF 33 - Shade 0

Lightsaver

Activated Mineral Sunscreen (SPF 33) - Shade 0

  • Why We Love It: When a New York City dermatologist launches skincare, you expect beauty editors to like the products but perhaps not as swiftly as the opinionated bunch took to Dr. David Kim’s Lightsaver SPF. The derm launched Activated Mineral Sunscreen in June of last year—inspired by treating skin cancer patients and constant education around the importance of sunscreen. The goal? To “create mineral sunscreens that had lightweight soft texture that people would actually look forward to using every day.” While the original formula has a slight, glowy tint, the brand just debuted Shade 0—a non-tinted option that goes on clear.
  • Editor’s Experience: Of course, Kim’s SPF is chock full of incredible ingredients: Photolyase helps calm stressed skin and improve sun-induced damage; squalane plumps and hydrates; niacinamide works to even skin tone; lingonberry delivers antioxidant protection. While all of this is fabulous, what I most love is the texture. Lightsaver’s sunscreens has this delectably whipped texture that feels cushiony and fluffy; I’d liken it to applying a rich, cleansing foam. That said, it absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no white cast. And those with sensitive skin shouldn’t worry—it’s non-comedogenic and fragrance-free so it should not cause irritation.
  • Chemical or Mineral: Mineral (zinc oxide 14.28%)
  • Key Ingredients: Photolyase, niacinamide, squalane, lingonberry
  • SPF Level: 33
  • Texture: Cream
  • Broad-Spectrum: Yes
  • White Cast: No
  • Finish: Natural, kind of dewy

Best Sunscreen Drops: Kora Organics Silky Sun Drops Organic Sunscreen Serum with SPF 30

Kora Organics

Silky Sun Drops Organic Sunscreen Serum with SPF 30

  • Why We Love It: Any clean beauty devotee knows the struggle of finding a great clean sunscreen. Well, Kora Organics Silky Sun Drops have entered the chat. “Having grown up under the Australian sun, developing a certified organic SPF has always been high on my agenda,” founder Miranda Kerr tells Vogue. “After five years of perfecting, I’m so proud to bring to market a purely organic, 100% mineral formula that is not only healthier for you and the planet, but is also truly lovely to use under and over makeup without a white cast.” The brand, which prioritizes toxin-free, cruelty-free, and certified organic ingredients in all its formulations, packed antioxidant-rich botanical oils alongside squalene, aloe leaf juice, ectoin, and non-nano zinc oxide for a formula that combats not only sun rays but protects skin from free radical damage and moisture loss.
  • Editor's Experience: There's something so unique about applying your sunscreen from a dropper. This method somehow feels more meditative than prescriptive; and it helps that Kora's just-debuted Sun Drops also feel more like a serum-meets-face lotion than a traditional SPF—delivering just the right amount of dewiness that resembles a natural radiant glow. My only callout is that it's thicker than it appears, so start with a little then work your way up. Or, opt for lightweight skincare products beneath it.
  • Chemical or Mineral: Mineral (zinc oxide 17%)
  • Key Ingredients: Chia seed oil, ectoin, raspberry seed oil, coconut fruit extract, aloe leaf juice, squalene, Algica, bisabolol
  • SPF Level: 30
  • Texture: Serum-lotion
  • Broad-Spectrum: Yes
  • White Cast: No
  • Finish: Dewy

Best for Mature Skin: Revision Skincare Intellishade TruPhysical Clear

Revision Skincare

Intellishade TruPhysical Clear

  • Why We Love It: We know sunscreen to be the most effective way to stave of premature aging, but any ole SPF can’t cater to the needs of mature skin. From smoothing wrinkles to fading dark spots and boosting skin's moisture levels, Revision Skincare’s new Intellishade TruPhysical Clear does all this and more with ease—making it my pick as a top sunscreen for mature skin. To start, the Revision Skincare team tells Vogue that the idea here was to create a clear, 100% all-mineral sunscreen that can “protect the skin from damaging extrinsic stressors as well as correct, brighten and hydrate the skin.” Its Mineral Protection Blend uses three physical UV filters—titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which provide broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection, working in tandem with transparent yellow iron oxide to cut the white cast. Pair this with anti-aging ingredients like intelligent peptides, vitamin C, coenzyme Q10, and squalane, and you’re left with a formula that “reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving evenness of skin tone and appearance of hyperpigmentation.”
  • Editor’s Experience: This sunscreen is the thickest formula on this list. Whipping its ingredient composition into a rich cream, Intellishade is best for someone with normal-to-dry skin. As someone with oily skin, it was a bit too heavy for me as we roll into summer but I am eager to try it again come fall. Despite its richness, I found it applied quite well—just rub it in with a circular motion until it turns from white to sheer. I’d recommend starting from the center of the face, blending outward to avoid excess buildup around the chin and hairline. Once blended, it leaves a gorgeous skin-like radiance I’d happily sport on any given day.
  • Chemical or Mineral: Mineral (Titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, transparent yellow iron oxide)
  • Key Ingredients: 3-Peptide blend (Palmitoyl tripeptide-5, palmitoyl dipeptide-5 diaminobutyroyl hydroxythreonine, tetradecyl aminobutyroylvalylaminobutyric urea trifluoroacetate), vitamin C, coenzyme Q10, squalane, aloe leaf juice, glycerin, silica
  • SPF Level: 50
  • Texture: Cream
  • Broad-Spectrum: Yes
  • White Cast: No
  • Finish: Natural glow
  • Size: 1.7 fl oz

Ilia

Skin Rewind Complexion Stick

  • Why We Love It: “Sometimes, when she’s falling asleep next to me, I look at my daughter’s skin and just marvel at how smooth and soft it is,” Ilia founder Sasha Plavsic says, explaining that the Skin Rewind Complexion Stick is her interpretation of that natural baby softness. What I find most compelling about this stick is the natural finish, or a matte of the future as Plavsic calls it. “It’s a breakthrough formula: weightless, dimensional, and blurs your skin in the most seamless way,” she says. “Your skin will still look like skin”—which allows for one’s glow to show through the product.
  • What It Is: Not a foundation stick, but a complexion stick—Ilia’s Skin Rewind is formulated to melt into skin, delivering medium, buildable coverage.
  • Editor’s Experience: There’s always been a sort of disconnect between me and foundation sticks—generally either too rough on the skin (which makes blending a pain or emphasizes skin texture), or too oil-based and emollient, which is a no-go for my normal-to-oily skin. Skin Rewind, however, goes on buttery smooth in a way that works well with my normal-to-oily skin, and pairs nicely with my pre-makeup skin prep (read: moisturizer, sunscreen, and oftentimes primer). With all the barriers to application gone, I’ve reached for it on mornings when I’m in a rush to getting ready or when I simply cannot be bothered with a liquid formula. These days, I travel with two shades—one to illuminate the under-eye and another that matches my skin tone. And with 42 shades to choose from across the entire range, you should have no trouble finding a few options for your regimen.
  • Finish: Natural
  • Shades: 42
  • Key Ingredients: Ceramide-peptide complex, winged kelp extract, butterfly lavender extract, squalane
  • Who It's For: This is an easy substitute for your current foundation for all-over color. But, it's also wildly versatile. Nowadays, I'm a huge proponent of using your products in multiple ways. Here, I’d recommend spot concealing (for quick coverage of rogue zits or beauty marks), actual concealer to the under-eye, or even contour using a shade or two darker than your skin tone. If that’s not enough, the formula is also packed with butterfly lavender, ceramides, and peptides which can help promote a plumper complexion.

Supergoop! Protec(tint) Daily SPF Tint SPF 50

Supergoop!

Protec(tint) Daily SPF Tint SPF 50

  • Why We Love It: I’ve found that there’s an ongoing debate about when exactly you need SPF. Though we can generally agree that UV protection is nonnegotiable for days spent in the sun, experts maintain that sunscreen is necessary daily—even if you're only being exposed to LED or blue light. Supergoop! founder Holly Thaggard has been having these types of conversations with dermatologists for a while now, and tells me that the emerging science behind tinted SPF, and how the entire light spectrum (beyond the UV portion) can negatively impact the skin. So she knew a universally wearable tinted sunscreen with exceptional UV protection was necessary. And now, we have Protec(tint).
  • What It Is: A lightweight tinted sunscreen composed of 83% skincare ingredients designed to even skin tone and improve skin texture with consistent use.
  • Editor’s Experience: Tinted sunscreens can be hard to create. From what I've gathered from formulators and brand founders is that it's difficult to pair powerful UV filters with skin care ingredients in a way that feels comfortable on the skin; especially across a wide range of skin tones. That's why many existing tinted sunscreens offer lower SPF levels or feel drying, heavy, cakey, or greasy on the skin. All of this to say, my ears perked up when Thaggard explained how she was able to seemingly crack the code to debut a formula that boasts an SPF 50. A hybrid of physical and mineral UV filters (a blend of zinc oxide, homosalate, and octisalate), Protec(tint) provides enough protection to wear on its own in place of your go-to sunscreen—though it does layer well with the brand's other bestsellers like Glowscreen or Unseen if you'd like to layer formulas. If you were to test this blind, you'd say it felt like a moisturizer on the skin. It's light-to-midweight depending on how much you use, and blends seamlessly (without streaks!) with your fingers or a brush. The finish here is natural—not too matte, not too dewy—meaning its great for most skin types. Because this features a hyaluronic acid-infused clay meant to absorb excess sebum and balance skin's moisture levels, it might not work well for very dry (or reactive) skin types.
  • Finish: Natural
  • Shades: 14
  • Key Ingredients: Zinc Oxide, 13.58%, homosalate 7.0%, octisalate 5.0%, ectoin, hyaluronic acid-infused clay, morinda citrifolia extract
  • Who It’s For: This is for someone who doesn't want to sacrifice sun protection for a smooth, even complexion.

Saie Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer

Saie

Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer

  • Why We Love It: Anyone with sensitive, reactive, or blemish-prone skin understands the struggle of finding beauty products that work for them. Saie founder Laney Crowell gets it, and has debuted a new concealer with these skin concerns in mind, inspired by her own experiences. “I have always been acne-prone and struggled for a long time with finding a concealing product that I could wear all over and didn't aggravate my skin, or crease and get cakey,” she says. So, she thought to formulate one herself. One packed with skin-loving ingredients and a good amount of coverage that can help improve the look of your skin over time. “This is the product I wish I grew up with,” Crowell says.
  • What It Is: A clean, medium coverage concealer designed to veil redness, dark circles, and blemishes.
  • Editor’s Experience: As a huge Saie fan, I was quite sad that its acclaimed Hydrabeam concealer didn’t work for me. So my ears perked up when I got word of another variant in the works. “Now’s my time to shine!,” I thought. While Hydrabeam works more like an illuminator, Slip Tint offers more corrective usages. And in my opinion, that’s what a concealer should be doing—concealing the bits you don't want to show off on any given day. For me, those are blemishes and dark circles. When it comes to breakouts, I’ll add a dot of concealer directly atop the zit following tinted moisturizer. Slip Tint works well here because it’s creamy and really stays where you place it, meaning I can make a red, inflamed pimple vanish with some deft blending. (My tip: dab the product onto the skin with a sponge or brush— don’t swipe, which will spread the product around.) For dark circles, on the other hand, I like using taking a shade lighter than my complexion, with a golden under tone. Apply to the undereye and let sit for a minute or two (I like to do my brows while I wait!), then blend with a brush. Sometimes I'm in awe because the product looks undetectable; my skin still looks like skin but any darkness is gone. It's quickly became my go-to everyday concealer; and if I'm in a rush, I know I could wear this on its own without foundation.
  • Finish: Natural
  • Shades: 25
  • Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, rice bran peptides, glycerin
  • Who It’s For: While yes, this is excellent for anyone with reactive or blemish-prone skin (it's vegan, non-comedogenic, and offers a host of potent ingredients), it's also an excellent everyday concealer for any skin type. A little goes a long way, so start with just a dollop of product and work your way up to your desired coverage.

Fara Homidi Essential Face Compact

Fara Homidi

Essential Face Compact

  • Why We Love It: Fara Homidi wants to change the way you think about applying makeup. In place of foundation, concealer, and highlighter, she offers the new Essential Face Compact—a complexion system that allows you to customize your finish to your liking. Maybe one day you just want to spot conceal before heading out the door; and the next you need full glam for an evening soiree. In place of various formulas, you have all you need in one little kit.
  • What It Is: A compact that pairs a creamy Smooth Veil Soft Matte complexion formula with Shine Baume—an illuminating gel-to-cream face balm. These can be applied separately or paired together to your liking.
  • Editor’s Experience: One thing I love most about Homidi’s makeup looks is how delectable she makes skin appear. From magazine covers to runways, she manages to make anyone's complexion supple, smooth, radiant and almost hyper-real. That said, I knew her brand’s complexion debut would be a delight to test and reimagine how I wear my makeup. In order to toy the line between dewy and matte, Homidi’s crimson pan with two textures utilizes what she calls “veil” technology, which “allows for a veil-like finish on desirable characteristics such as freckles (without covering them), yet is buildable and can provide full coverage to the specific areas you want it to.” Using the brand’s new Buffer Brush (that was created for use with the Essential Face Compact), I was able to sweep both textures along my skin with ease. Of the two, I loved Smooth Veil Soft Matte the most. It has a way of evening redness and hyperpigmentation for a blurred, filtered effect that I’m obsessed with. I know we tend to throw around the term “your skin-but-better” often, but this seriously just enhances your skin in the most natural way. This is what I’d use if I didn’t want someone to know I was wearing makeup at all. On the highlighter balm, I liked applying it to the high points of my face (read: bridge of my nose and cheekbones) for a subtle dewy sheen. The pigment here isn’t really shimmery or bronzey so the effect is like you’ve been in the sun all day versus wearing a high-octane highlighter. Honestly, I cannot wait to play with this all summer long.
  • Shades: 15
  • Finish: Dewy-to-matte
  • Key Ingredients: Key ingredients of Smooth Veil Soft Matte are ginger root extract, Amazonian cupuaçu butter, kaolin clay, and rice power; while, the ingredients to note in the Shine Baume are phylcare hyacolor, sunflower seed oil, and reflective mica.
  • Who It’s For: This is for anyone wishing to streamline their routine, or the person who thinks their makeup look should be barely detectable.

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder

Courtesy of Hourglass

Hourglass

Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder

  • Why We Love It: I don’t care how much social media tries to push the ultra-dewy, glowing makeup look my way. An airbrushed, filter-in-a-bottle look will always reign supreme in my book! One surefire way to achieve that is a face powder, and Hourglass’s latest is the modern formula to add to your beauty bag. It’s vegan, finely-milled, and buttery—meaning it sits well on the skin and locks your look in place for up to 12 hours.
  • What It Is: A weightless, sheer, talc-free pressed powder designed to quell excess shine and impart an airbrushed glow.
  • Editor’s Experience: If it’s not already apparent, I love a face powder, and trust me—not all are created equal. The undertones and wearability have to be just right for me to reach for it again and again. (I’m so particular about face powders because they finish off a look. Imagine you’ve just completed your makeup to perfection, then put on a powder that ruins the look? The horror!) Luckily, Hourglass’s is incredible. The included powder puff is quite soft, and deposits just the right amount of powder onto the face without budging the makeup beneath it. Shade Translucent Tan is excellent for brightening my under-eye—smoothing out creases and puffiness in the process. The next shade, Translucent Deep, is too dark for me, so I’d use Translucent anywhere else on my face and would recommend the same to anyone in a similar predicament.
  • Shades: 5
  • Formulated Without: Talc, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances
  • Who It’s For: This is excellent for anyone who uses face powder; especially that person who takes powder on the go or simply has a penchant for an airbrushed look.
