All The Best Archival Looks From Vogue World: Paris
Given that Vogue World: Paris was a celebration of a century’s worth of fashion and sport, it’s no surprise that there were some archival looks in the mix – from Chanel’s recreations of three 1924 dresses that first appeared in the pages of Vogue to Balenciaga’s remakes of two ’30s looks for the track and field segment. Over on the red carpet, a number of stars also chose vintage looks to sit on the front row at Vogue World, in keeping with the trend we’ve seen in recent years for rare pieces from the fashion vaults. Styled by Harry Lambert, Alexa Chung opted for a silk slip dress from Viktor & Rolf’s autumn/winter 2005 collection, featuring a single red rose, while Mia Regan, fittingly, wore a sculptural black dress from French designer Pierre Cardin’s autumn/winter 1986 collection.
They were by no means the only stars to dig through the archives for last night’s fashion extravaganza. Below, see all the best vintage looks from Vogue World: Paris.
