Whether vacationing in Portofino or running errands in Los Angeles, Kendall Jenner’s outfits are always a source of effortlessly-cool inspiration. Recently, at Revolve Festival, she shared her favourite mix-and-match pieces to create the perfect spring-to-summer capsule wardrobe, including how she’s mastering warm-weather dressing during festival season and beyond.
“I think that Coachella itself has evolved a lot,” she told Vogue. “As it’s grown, so have I. There was certainly a time when a bohemian music influence had us all inspired. But I think as the music has changed through the years, my aesthetic has leaned more into functionality and comfort as well. This season I just want to feel comfortable while enjoying music I love.”
It doesn’t matter if you’re attending a music festival or sightseeing in a new country, walking is core to most summer activities, so picking a shoe that’s comfortable is a must. With this in mind, Jenner is leaning into the ease and undeniable polish of western-inspired boots this season – but don’t toss out your ballerinas just yet. “I’m still here for the ballet flat trend,” Jenner adds. “It is super easy to just throw on and makes any outfit chic!”
A well put together capsule wardrobe is also anchored by timeless wardrobe essentials. Jenner’s line-up includes a classic ribbed tank top from the editor-loved brand Éterne and elevated trousers from The Row. As far as denim goes, Jenner is championing a roomier silhouette, but that doesn’t mean that skinnies are completely off the table. “I don’t think anything is ever out because personal style isn’t about following the trends, but doing what feels best for you,” Jenner explains. “Some of my favourite things for spring are flowy feminine dresses, great minimal slides, and big bags.”
